Innovative Security Protection
In development for more than five years within Websense Security Labs™ and based on more than ten years of experience classifying the Web, Websense ThreatSeeker is the technological foundation for Websense’s security software portfolio. ThreatSeeker™ technology scans more than 600 million Web sites per week searching for malicious code, along with Websense’s On Demand Services, which scans more than 350 million emails per week for email security threats. This combined security intelligence closes the window of vulnerability and defends against Trojans, Spam, Phishing, Pharming, keylogging, P2P and zero-day threats.
As a result, ThreatSeeker delivers pre-emptive protection from Web-based and email security threats – threats typically missed or too costly to prevent using security technologies such as antivirus and intrusion prevention systems. Unlike these traditional approaches, Websense seeks out the source of attacks on the Internet before customers are compromised and protects customers before patches and signatures are created. As a result, organizations are automatically protected from the latest threats within minutes, without massive costs and administrative burdens and without having to guess what attacks may look like in the future.
